The GET-UANDES uses commercial software and develops different computer traffic simulation programs, mainly in public transport.
PASSION (Parallel Stop SImulatON)
This software allows studying solutions to plan,manage and optimize the design and operation of bus stops, BRT (Bus Rapid Transit)and LRT (Light Rail Transit) stations. It is a discrete event simulator developed inExcel VBA language, which can evaluate the capacity of stops, calculate delays andqueues of vehicles and estimate the waiting times of passengers and overcrowdingon platforms. The software is open to be used by the community of engineers,transportation operators and government agencies.

CORBUS (CORREDORES DE BUSES in Spanish)
It is a software that simulates the operation of vehicles and public transport infrastructure at a corridor level (for example, a bus rapid transit). Consider sources of delays such as moving time, traffic lights and bus stops. It delivers as a result the commercial speed of public transport vehicles and its components. Initially developed in C ++, it has now been translated into Excel VBA language.
LEGION
It is a pedestrian simulation software mainly applied to public transport and public space. Use the Fruin’s Service Level as an indicator to measure pedestrian congestion. This software is based on pedestrian dissatisfaction, which is a function of frustration (speed), discomfort (density) and inconvenience (distance) of pedestrians. It does not use grids or other virtual restrictions.
