Philosophy is the foundational discipline of interdisciplinary bioethical work. Additionally, it is recognized that Christian faith and the magisterium of the Catholic Church complement natural reason. This dual foundation gives the Center a distinctive trait, consistent with the ideals and academic ethos of the University of the Andes.
