This program provides a unique experience for students to learn about climate change, renewable energies, future development challenges and the role of youth on these topics. At the same time, students will learn about business opportunities related to renewable energies and sustainable innovative projects.

The program includes trekking and other outdoor activities. Finally, it is an opportunity for the students to get to know different cultures and to create a network of contacts between young people while enjoying the campus in July. Be part of this experience!

ADDITIONAL SERVICIES

Housing

Universidad de los Andes does not offer on-campus accommodations. However, the International Relations Office can recommend external housing options. We recommend participating in a homestay program as it will allow students to immerse themselves in the Chilean culture.

Homestay

Housing with Chilean families include:
meals (breakfast & dinner), Wi-Fi, single room, laundry & housekeeping.

Airport pick up: $35 USD per person ($85 USD per group). 
*Other housing options can be recommended upon request.


Airport Transfer

UANDES can organize transportation for the students from and to the airport as well as assist them with transportation from their accommodation to UANDES.Approximately $60 USD for a private transfer.


VISA

Participants do not need a student visa to participate in short term programs so long as their stay does not exceed three months. If a student needs an invitation letter in order to obtain a tourist visa, UANDES can provide it. It is the responsibility of the student to request such a letter.

COVID-19 Cancellation policies

COVID HEALTH AND SAFETY PROTOCOL

The University of the Andes is exercising all health protocols, according to the indications of the WHO and those imposed by the Government of Chile.

Currently, the rooms have a maximum occupancy ensuring social distance between all students.

In addition, the mandatory use of masks is required for all who enter the campus.

The University has in all its facilities hand-held alcohol dispensers for constant disinfection. Once each jordana is finished, the classrooms and bathrooms are constantly sanitized. (This section will be updated as there are new indications and sanitary measures to ensure the well-being of all students.)
